My Inspiration
This all started when I was in Junior High School. At the time, Eragon by Christopher Paolini was my favorite book. In 2006, it was made into a movie. I imagined how excited and proud Christopher must have been, he at a fairly young age to have his book so loved that a filmmaker felt moved to bring it to life only four years after publication! His success at a young age motivated me to create my own story. Now, I never imagined my writing to be so beloved as Eragon or that it might be turned into a movie. Writing to me is a labor of love. I also love that passionate connection we get when fans of the same topic meet and converse over their love for a shared experience. This is why I write.
More about me
I grew up in rural Nebraska where I gained a love and respect for nature and imagination. Still located in Nebraska, along with writing I enjoy a variety of other hobbies. Currently, I spend most of my free-time cross stitching or crocheting. I also enjoy gardening, playing table-top games, and painting the nails of my friends and family in addition to my own. A few things I love that I miss doing regularly are drawing, painting, playing video games and playing piano. It is hard to fit all your passions into life when you become an adult, but I do not see these things as hobbies lost, it is more like dear friends I will one day return to.
In addition to a semi-recent photo of myself I've included a photo of two usually gentle, but often fierce in the case of Zaria, souls who hold a large place in my heart, my cats Gaara (tan and white, male) and Zaria (black and white, female).
Some of my favorite things:
Domestic animal: cat
Wild animal: capybara
Color: green
Band: Demon Hunter
Movie: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Book: The Legond of Drizzt series by R.A. Salvatore
Food: po-tay-toes!
Flower: orchid
